When SpongeBob SquarePants came to town, the Palace Theatre was transformed into the imaginative, immersive wonderland known as Bikini Bottom. Audiences owe a lot of that experience to Tony-nominated scenic and costume designer David Zinn, who took TheaterMania on a walking tour of his mammoth set, complete with boom boxes, Rube Goldberg contraptions, baby pools, and a whole lot of SpongeBob merchandise.
