IS 800 : 2007 and Software

IS:800 2007 was released before ~10 years. This revision in the code is not a conventional revision in the earlier IS:800 code (1984) and hence brings up few practical difficulties while adopting the new standards. In the revised standard, concept of Limit State Design (LSD) method is introduced which involves relatively complex mathematical calculations. Speaker has undertaken an exercise for authenticating popular software for design of steel structures considering LSD. Experience based on this ongoing exercise has been shared during the webinar.
