Years ago, I had a business transferring old 8mm film to VHS... One day a customer brought me this amazing film of Rural country life in Missouri. Country living at its best... You'll see real-life characters that remind you of Minnie Pearl, less the price tag on her hat. And the usual farm animals, cows, pigs, chickens, and horses. What's so amazing about this film was that it was made at all. many city slickers never owned an 8mm film camera. (did you?) let alone use it with such skill.. not much to complain about. The family piles into a 1930 Chevy Sedan, as grampa slides behind the wheel, just guessing, correct me if I'm wrong... Same with their other ride, a 1934 FORD4 Door Sedan. Boy, what I wouldn't give for one of them today. Watch grammas toss feed out to a flock of chickens, See a real-life Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, diving into the swimming hole.. swinging out on a rope. the whole family worked hard together and played hard together... no TV, no computers, smartphone, you know, the elephant in the room that keeps folks too busy for each other.. see their kitchen.. old stove and ice-box.. Banjos and fiddles and other old-time tunes...Hope you take the time out today.. your blood pressure will thank you.. RELAX A FEW
