The Ram Mandir, also known as Ram Janmabhoomi, is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram, according to Hindu mythology. The site has been a focal point of contention and reverence for centuries. It gained widespread attention in modern times due to the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute. The Babri Masjid, built in the 16th century, was located at the site until it was demolished in 1992. Subsequently, the land was allocated for the construction of a new Ram Mandir. The construction of the Ram Mandir began in August 2020 after a Supreme Court verdict in 2019 allowed for the construction, ending decades of legal disputes.
