Saturday Night Recovery Chat with Sarah (September 2024)

On this episode of Saturday Night Chat, Sarah shares her story of recovery and talks about the achievements, challenges, resources, and support systems she encountered along the way. She explains that substance use disorder is a medical condition and not a choice. Sarah discusses the emergency department recovery program that helped her and that she now runs. She talks about the different recovery strategies she has used and about the stigma surrounding substance use and recovery. She also discusses methods for reducing stigma and gives ideas for how to develop a recovery support network.
