Making a connection with Uponor Combi Pex pipe (available only in Australia): Uponor Q&E - quick and easy

Uponor CombiPex plastic pipes have a thermal memory, the so-called memory effect. If the cross-linked polyethylene pipe is widened true to dimension by means of a suitable tool, it wants to return to its original shape again within a short period of time. This results in a distinct recovery capability. We use this positive material property in Uponor Q&E jointing technique. The pipe material turns into sealing material in this case. It connects positively and by frictional contact to Uponor Q&E fitting. This hundred percent safe connection of fitting and pipe is achieved without O ring seals.
