Lego Mario and Lego Luigi are surprised to see clones of themselves. But when their clones enter the game, Mario and Luigi realize that they can control their clones when they see that the same actions they do outside also happen in the game. Toad and Toadette are trapped in Bowser's castle and they tell him that Princess Peach is in the castle. Thus begins Mario and Luigi's rescue adventure.

In the rest of the story, Mario sees 3 Bowsers. When the Bowsers come at Mario, Mario finds himself trapped in the game. When he wakes up from the dream, he realizes that he is in a loop and tries to get out of it.
