Drumcode boss Adam Beyer and Enrico Sangiuliano unveil a new 4/4 monster – an exclusive from the label’s forthcoming A-side compilation.

Twenty years old last year, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode imprint is still nudging at boundaries, finding new ways to innovate around a bedrock of pure, precision-tooled techno. The label’s annual A-Sides compilation is always a good way to get a measure of their current material, and with the sixth instalment due to drop on August 28, here’s one of the highlights – a collaboration between the boss and Italian mastermind Enrico Sangiuliano.

Says Sangiuliano: “Adam wrote the idea for the track about two years ago. As soon as I heard the melody, I felt the need for us to make a summer track from it together. We kept his original mood of the track but redesigned the sounds adding more depth and fatness. I think the result is a track which works really well as a morning anthem, around sunrise, to break through all the heavier darker tracks.”
