With its unwavering dedication and service to Filipinos around the world spanning more than six (6) decades, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. commended the efforts and importance of the Social Security System (SSS) in nation building by uplifting the lives of its kababayans through a strong social security protection.

During its 65th anniversary celebration on 30 September 2022, President Marcos Jr. underscored the crucial role of the SSS in empowering every Filipino family with efficient membership coverage, enhanced benefits and improved service capabilities.

“I encourage you all to always embody excellence in all that you do and put the best interest of the Filipino people above everything else in your endeavor,’ the President remarked as he recognized the hard work of all the SSS officials and members. He expressed his high hopes that this milestone would bring positive impact to the communities and make services closer to its members.

Likewise, the Chief Executive reaffirmed the government’s commitment to every initiative that would further improve the efficiency and productivity of the SSS.

With the theme, ‘Kontribusyong Pinag-ipunan, Proteksyong Maaasahan,’ this year’s celebration aims to foster better future through the values of work, save, invest and prosper. To commemorate this milestone, SSS launches innovative programs to benefit its members, ensure social security coverage for the informal economy workers and help its members save more for their retirement, among others.
