Clever Jack and the Pirates

This is a live recording of J. Omar Hansen's musical Clever Jack and the Pirates.
Clever Jack, the poorest boy in town, has fallen in love with Sari Farmer, the daughter of Mr. Farmer, the richest man in town. Sari loves Jack too, but her father is under the spell of Willard the Pig (an actual pig) and tells Jack he must travel to Bremen Town to find the famous pirates and steal their gold, if he ever hopes to marry Sari. Jack agrees and sets out to seek his fortune. As he travels along, he meets four melancholy musicians: the Horse, Dog, Cat and Chicken who have been banished from Mr. Farmer’s employ (also because of Willard). Jack invites them to join him on his quest and they all head off to find the pirates and make their fortune. Little do they know Willard is secretly following them to thwart their plan.
Clever Jack and the Pirates is filled with foot stomping bluegrass tunes, singing animals, pirates, townsfolk, country bumpkins, and a real mean pig. In this musical retelling of the Bremen Town Musicians, Willard the Pig comes to a long overdue reckoning, and everyone else, even the pirates, find their way to a happy ending. And true love wins, as it always should.
