Yuri played us all like fools. The attack on the Ural Mountains, the sheer enormity of the funds that vanished from New York's treasuries along with American laser technology designs, coupled with his sudden disappearance, were all his doing. Worst of all, every single Beacon-controlled region besides what Vladimir took control of is under his reach. Although European Psychic Beacons still respond to us, and we are very close to keeping down what remains of the Allies with a brand new orbital magnetic system meant to counter their Chronosphere, we cannot afford to invade the US a second time, and Yuri is well aware of this.

Premier Romanov, fortunately, has a plan to counter a possible takeover from his side, should it occur. There are still a great many Beacons, no doubt now under Yuri's control, that we couldn't take. However, the Americans know their land, and they are too stupid and stubborn to be threatened into submission, but they do know the value in pragmatics. Romanov wishes to use the forces that were freed in D.C. and the remnants of the Mercury Satellite data from Hawaii to return Dugan the ability to destroy their own Beacons and officially acknowledge the restoration of the United States. This ploy was met with terrible disapproval from both Chinese and Confederation parties, the Latins especially voicing a particular venom that this will backfire on the Comintern, in particular General Argo. But if we play our cards right and ensure Europe is ours, America will be docile for decades to come, given that we've already crippled the US many times over.
