Transformers Studio Series 30 Crankcase - GotBot True Review NUMBER 516

This time I look at the Transformers Studio Series 30 Crankcase, a Decepticon dread character from the Dark of the Moon film. On one hand, the tolerances on my particular copy seem to have been tweaked just enough from earlier uses of this mold to make this guy less frustrating than his counterparts. Of course, overall, his conversion and articulation are exactly the same as Crowbar. On the other hand, while the gold and black coloring does seem more accurate to the on-screen representation of the character, the similarities stop there. The head sculpt looks absolutely nothing like the intended character. In truth, the head sculpt of the Decepticon Berserker toy, with added gold paint, would have more accurately embodied this guy as he looked in the movie. Nevertheless, this may well be the best use of this mold. Check him out and decide for yourself!
