ABOUT THE ALBUM
The Jazz music scene now has an incredibly exciting new 16 year old composer, Lydian Nadhaswaram. His first album, Chromatic Grammatic, breaks new ground. The entire album was composed within a span of just 2 months with just 8 months of learning Jazz which is a testimony to the sheer passion, extraordinary skills and dedication of Lydian. Each of the album's twelve numbers is composed in a different key of the chromatic scale. By fusing traditional jazz on Western instruments with the music played on Indian instruments and by introducing elements of Indian Carnatic music like Konnakol, Lydian has written a new grammar for Jazz. Accomplished musicians from across the world have joined hands with Lydian on a variety of instruments to bring his compositions of life. The album has since earned rave reviews from the International Jazz community.
