Hugo Schwartz is a budding comedian stuck at his father's vegetable shop in the East European shtetl of Belz. Hugo manages to run away and then we just follow the next 50 years of his life and his performances at cabarets of Munkach, Prague, Vienna, Catskill Mountains Borscht Circuit and finally the Broadway. We follow not only Hugo's life but also the World history of 1918-1968, as well as the history of the Jewish humor and the songs of that period, large cast, dozens of costumes, a plethora of some of the best Jewish jokes, LAUGHTER, TEARS. (additional English lyrics by Charles Kondek, Starring as Hugo Schwartz- Andy Hirsch).
