First Note (Blue Giant) - Tripoint Cats

One evening, i was watching "Blue Giant" with my friend. The film follows the journey of Dai Miyamoto, a tenor saxophonist and his passion for jazz. As a tenor saxophonist myself, i felt a deep connection to his story. Dai's journey of forming his jazz combo and starting to play gigs mirrored my own experience. This piece was played by Dai and his combo during his concert in the best jazzclub in Tokyo. The spirit and energy of the piece struck me deeply. In that moment i knew i wanted to perform it at our concert. Playing it as the opening to our set, i hoped to share the same spirit. Enjoy!
