Arid is a Belgian rock band comprising four members: Jasper Steverlinck (vocalist and guitarist), David Du Pré (guitarist), Filip Ros (bassist), and Steven Van Havere (drummer).

History:
Formed in the mid-90s, Arid gained recognition when they became finalists in Humo's Rock Rally in 1996, catching the attention of the record label Double T. Their debut album, "Little Things Of Venom," was released in early April 1999 (renamed "At The Close Of Every Day" for its launch in the United States). In 1999, they toured with Suede and also opened for K's Choice. The following year, they were the opening act for the European tour of Counting Crows.

In 2001, Steverlinck gained fame through the IMAX-3D film "Haunted Castle," alongside Harry Shearer. The film's soundtrack at the beginning and end also featured music from the band.

In 2002, the band released its second studio album, "All Is Quiet Now," quickly followed by a live album in 2003.

In 2012, Arid played its (temporary) final concert. Steverlinck decided to focus on his solo career, marking a pause in the band's activities.
