Hello, in this tutorial I show you how I made fairy house using a plastic bottle, paint, hot glue,tissue roll,pepper and chalk powder clay. This is a great way to teach children about recycling and also stimulate their creativity and imagination. I start by drawing the sketch of the house. I visualize how will the 200mi.li plastic bottle fit in the design and draw the shape of the fairy house around it. After I have the sketch of the fairy house ready, I start cutting the plastic bottle. Then I glue them together in place. Next step is to build the rest of the house using chalk pawder and glue mix. This is a fast way to achieve a basic volume that will be the base for our chalk pawder clay. I also designed some stairs in front of the door and two mushrooms as pillars on each side of the door. After I have the general shape of your fairy house I can start covering everything with paper clay. You should work in two layers, one for covering the surface and the second one for the details like windows, door, wood texture, bark, mushrooms, door steps. When making the windows keep in mind it will be a lamp so you should draw as many windows as you can so the light will come out nicely. After the clay is dry you can easily add more details like I did for some of the windows. Let everything dry. I used watercolors and acrylic paint for painting because I like working in layers and be able to change if I don't like the way it looks. In the end you can seal the paint using some matte spray varnish.
