Payedaan - Khajan Singh visits

This is a part of the Punjabi play "Payedaan" (Doormat) written by Jatinder Brar and director by Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia, performed on the 23rd March 2013 in Sydney, Australia.

In the video Khajan Singh is a government contractor incharge of the repair and maintenance of the government property including, in this case, the officers houses.

He is called into look into some needed repair work and explains that nothing gets done without incentive or bribe.

The doctor protests, but his wife jumps to pay and just have the work done.

Brilliantly played by Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia as Khajan Singh, Neeru Singh is amazing as Renu and the doctor is played by Jay Singh Ahluwalia.

Towards the end of the video we see Beero, played incredibly by Pinky Khurana, plead for some food for her doctor and is brushed off by Renu.
