San Diego California Beaches and Bay - Virtual Bicycle Ride in 4K

If you have ever viewed San Diego from above you may have seen Sea World, the San Diego River, and the water park that is Mission Bay. Take a bike ride along the boardwalks of Mission Bay, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, and Crown Point in San Diego, California - on a high 70 degree summer day in August 2024.

There are numerous multi use trails throughout Mission Bay that connect with the bridges and boardwalk along the beaches. You can easily mix your route with the roads and travel north to La Jolla or south to Point Loma and the San Diego Bay easily clocking in 40 miles and more just from cruising on two wheels on the web of trails along the Central San Diego Coast.

Because back to school festivities are in full swing, I mark the occasion by going to the beach when there are less crowds. However there is a good level of foot and wheel traffic in this footage. Also, being a native Southern Californian, I consider the start of summer in San Diego to be Mid August to early September lasting until late October when the temperatures range from the high 70s to low 80s during the day with breezes and a coastal eddy early and late in the day. It usually cools off nicely in the evenings to the mid 60s. It can be foggy though at night and early in the mornings this time of year also.
