TikTok provides tons of music and audio for you to use on your videos if you prefer not to use the sound that was recorded with the video. However, what if you'd like to overlay some random sound that you found elsewhere but wasn't recorded with your video? There is a trick to do just that!

Basically, what we will do is screen record on your iPhone or Android as you play the sound you want to use. This will capture the music that we'll use later. Then you will upload that screen recording to TikTok but set it as private because of course the video portion will just be the screen record. You just want to use the audio portion, but after you post the private video, you can click on the sound icon on the TikTok and choose to use the original sound you just uploaded and match it up with a video of your choosing. Pretty cool, right!
