Here's a compilation of some of the nicest ideas, effects and great animation work that was done in Walt Disney's first hit series.

Disney and his animators elaborated on the combination of live-action and animation that the Fleischer Studios pioneered in their "Out of the Inkwell" series. The "Alice comedies" also featured Julius the cat, who looks a lot like Felix, just like an amazing lot of cartoon cats that appeared after Felix had become so successful. But the studio obviously put in enough originality and effort to create a success that turned out to be the start of a huge empire.
