The title track and lead single from the criminally-underrated "Tortured" album signalled a whole new direction for Anet, little more than a year after releasing the comparatively-organic "Bloom"/"Don't Argue With Her". In this video directed by Adam Sliwinski, edited by Tom Raycove, and featuring artwork by Adam Bell of Vancouver, we get our first glimpse into the tortured, twisted little mind that would give us alternapop gems "Cursed", "Nicotine", and "Dirty Girl" - a far cry from the sweet innocence of "Blue Girl" but welcome all the same. The original 11 track version of "Tortured" - including the French-sung "L'État D'Amour" remains Anet's scarcest album. It was later repackaged for the US market and distributed through online retailers mp3.com and CD Baby, sans français. But before that, just about the only way to get your hands on this CD was to pick one up at an Anet gig. Are you one of the lucky ones?
