In this video, we’re talking all about Dead Butt Syndrome (DBS) — a common issue, especially if you sit for long periods or have poor posture. Don't worry, your butt isn’t literally dead if you can stand up and walk, but if you're feeling soreness, weakness, or tightness in your glutes, you might be experiencing DBS.
👎 What is Dead Butt Syndrome?
Dead Butt Syndrome, also known as Gluteal Amnesia, occurs when your glute muscles stop firing correctly and lose their activation. This can cause pain in your lower back, hips, or knees because other muscles have to take over the work your glutes are supposed to be doing.
💺 How Do You Get It?
Sitting for long periods, poor posture, weak core muscles, or repetitive motions like running without proper strength training can lead to DBS. When you don’t engage your glutes, they become "lazy" and eventually weaken, leading to a domino effect of muscle imbalances.
