In this video we take a look at how Butterfly Volume Reducers can be used to prevent one of the most common problems associated with ski boots - Heel lift.

Heel lift is a real problem for skiers with skinny ankles or low volume feet. Skiers with either tend to over-compensate by over tightening the buckles which then leads to circulation and cramping problems. Butterfly ankle volume reducers help to alleviate the problem of heel lift by wrapping around the ankle bones, thereby taking out some of the excess volume and gently but securely gripping the ankles, eradicating heel lift.

Supplied in a pack of 2, self adhesive 2.5mm thick pads.

Fitting Tips
First remove the liner from the ski boot by holding the top of the boot cuff from the back with one hand then hold the top of the liner and push forward, the liner should pop out easily.

Place your foot in the liner and locate your ankle bones by pressing against them.

Stick one butterfly on the outside of the liner so your ankle bones sit in the hole in the middle of the padding (see picture adjacent).

Trim off any excess material towards the front of the ankle which may cause pressure points on the instep.

Replace the liner in the boot and try on.

You may need to add a second butterfly to achieve a secure fit, simply stick on over the first one.

If you are still unsure how to fit these or just need some advice please give us a call, we are more than happy to help.
