Santa Fe Mysteries: Sacred Ground (PC) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

Описание к видео Santa Fe Mysteries: Sacred Ground (PC) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Activision's 1997 PC FMV graphic adventure game, Santa Fe Mysteries: Sacred Ground.

This is the (only) sequel to the 1996 release Santa Fe Mysteries: The Elk Moon Murder (see it here:    • Interactive Movies / FMV Games  - All...   )

Sacred Ground initially looks almost identical to its predecessor. Same interface, many of the same actors, same picture and audio clues, and same general narrative structure, but it features a brand new story, and it's a pretty engaging one. I get the sense that the Santa Fe Mysteries was intended to be a sort of serialized interactive TV-style miniseries, with each episode taking place in the same general area and with similar thematic issues, but each episode would stand on it's own. Kinda like the SVU format.

It's too bad that these were critically destroyed when they came out, because as far as FMV-game acting and storylines go, they are pretty good. The developers seem to have had quite a good budget to work with (there's no CG in sight - all real people and backdrops)! And, for only being two CDs, the video quality is excellent.
