SOLO HIKING Dolomites ALTA VIA 2 September 2023 4K 30p

Last week of September 2023 I was on another planet... this is on Earth - Dolomites. This incredible part of ALPS is on the UNESCO World Heritage List for the beauty and uniqueness of their landscape and their geological and geomorphological importance.
My original plan was hiking early June. But heavy rains made me change the plan and I went to Andorra, to hike in Pyrenees. Now the weather was perfect and I make my dream true.
I walked thru highest part of ALTA VIA 2. Started from Corvara in Badia, then Rifugio Puez, Pisciadu, Forcella Pordoi, Marmolada di Castiglioni, and back to Rifugio Boe and Pisciadu to Corvara taking a variant trail.
All was perfect. Unforgetable adventure. I'll remember it for ever :)
The feelings, atmosphere, beauty, weather...
I was affraid I will have to give up - terrible pain in my leg just before this expedition made me doubt. But I decided to go and all pain was gone.
My back pack 19,5 kg with water made my realy slow on technical parts especialy via ferratas. But how to make the backpack ultra light with dron, lenses, camera, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, small crampons, harnes, longe, helmet, jetboil and food?
Turned out most huts were open so I coul sleep there every night. But if you plan to hike in October a tent and camping equipment are crusual.

I will come back to Dolomites. ALTA VIA 1 autumn 2024 this is a wish on my list
