Senzo Meyiwa murder trial I Second docket in the spotlight

The second docket in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial was in the spotlight this morning when proceedings resumed in the high court in Pretoria. The court has heard that the additional docket was never pursued. This comes on the back of an application brought by the defence counsel for the 5th accused, Advocate Zandile Mshololo, who asked the state to explain why the persons implicated in that 2019 docket were never prosecuted. On Friday - proceedings where halted when Mshololo asked the state for clarity on the additional docket.
This 2019 investigation implicated the persons who were present in the home on the night the soccer star was shot and killed in 2014.
The accused included Meyiwa's then-girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, and 6 others.
