What I Did At A Village Of 190 Population | Pin Valley | Mudh Village | Spiti Trip

Описание к видео What I Did At A Village Of 190 Population | Pin Valley | Mudh Village | Spiti Trip

This video is 3rd one from my series on Spiti Valley Tour. I have visited Pin Valley, Mudh Village and Kaza Market in this travel video on Spiti. As you watched me reaching Kaza travelling from Manali, crossing Rohtang Pass, Gramphoo, Chhatru, Batal, Kunzum Pass, and Losar (first village of Spiti valley). Pin valley is again a beautiful place to visit in Lahaul & Spiti district of Himachal Praadesh. This valley is formed by Pin River. There are 17 villages in the periphery of Pin valley national park. This place is also home to Snow leopards and every year thousands of tourists come to Spiti in winter to see snow leopards.

The total population of Pin Valley is 1500 to 1600. Most of the population belongs to the Buddhist community. Thus, you will see many monasteries in Lahual& Spiti region that includes Pin valley too. A famous Bollywood movie “Paap” was shot entirely in Pin valley. You can see the beauty of Spiti valley in the song “Intezaar’ from the movie Paap. The distance to travel from Kaza (Spiti Valley) to Pin Valley is 52 kilometers. Roads are not very smooth for driving. I took a halt at the Tailing Bridge in Pin valley. Tailing is also a village where the population is just 200.

I travelled further to Mudh Village from the tailing bridge. Mudh village is the last village of Pin valley with a mere population of 192. The total distance from the bridge to Mud village is 6 kilometer. There are many homestays and cafes in Mudh village and people stop by here for lunch. The houses in Mud village are made of mud and painted in white. They have red window paint, which is typical Spitian style of the houses. You will spot Tibetan prayer flags on each and every house. This emphasis the Buddhist influence in the region.

After Mudh village, I went to Kaza Market and did some handicraft shopping. Also had icre-cream and brownie at Himalayan café in Kaza market. ☺

With every vlog I have done in Spiti Valley in Himachal, I say this: Spiti is not a place, it’s a feeling. Spiti is Love. Do check out my previous 2 vlogs on Spiti from this series.
