1984 Sacramento Freelancers Drum and Bugle Corps

Описание к видео 1984 Sacramento Freelancers Drum and Bugle Corps

Finals were in Atlanta Georgia. The Garfield Cadets glowed golden like Gods as they introduced the world to the next level of Drum Corps winning the world Championchip. We had a stunning year ourselves in the Freelancers, we were the best fed corps of the year with our own mobile kitchen (Chuckwagon). We gave the gaurd 20 sapranos and taught them how to play ballzondo whole notes to the opening "You're still a young Man" by Tower of Power. We were arguably the loudest Corps of the year. We also did singing/vocals as a first, at least to us in our era. Back in the Day, California had 5 of the top 12 , and a few more in the 24. This is most of our show, I had to cut a couple of minutes so it would fit on YouTube. Have you seen Drum Corps Lately? these kids are marching and performing in this day and age what seem inconcievable to me from our basic styls. Wow !! Enjoy. You can see me at 9:27 part of this video playing saprano wailing away. Thanks for enjoying, its a great feeling to contribute. Thanks DCI and IAMAI

Post Script: John Zimney, great decision to add that last lowering at the end, so much emotion with that kiss. Thank you are you and your brothers help in my childhood development. I don't think I could have been a Firefighter for 30 years without the experience in the Drum Corps.
