Emerson CQC-8 knife: My Favorite Emerson

The Emerson CQC-8 is an outstanding tactical folder, in fact it is my favorite Emerson model so far. This model initially came with a chisel ground blade which I had re-ground to conventional V-edge by Razors Edge. With this mod complete the CQC-8 is a superb defensive blade. Other upsides include: excellent hand protection with the deep finger guard, nicely textured G10 slabs, speed in deployment, fit and finish, good pocket clip design, long handle, pointed pommel, perfect blade shape, 154CM steel, tight lockup, and acceptable 5.2 oz weight. Downsides are might be the high cost ($175-ish) and pocket clip should be higher on the handle but thats about it. It is very high on my list of recommendations for users wanting a folding combat knife in serious locations.
