FUN, DRAMATIC & ROUGH KONE M Series Traction Elevators at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel, Ottawa, ON

Описание к видео FUN, DRAMATIC & ROUGH KONE M Series Traction Elevators at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel, Ottawa, ON

Now, unlike Many KONEs I've been on, these Asian ones I've gotten to see in Canada, in addition to the Polaris I rode in Montreal definitely changed my opinion on KONE and I've learned not ALL are bad, poorly made, bland and Boring, it's just their North and South American Ecodiscs except for Polaris that are junk. These ware Asian KONE Elevators with larger M Series fixtures (Used to be Otis Touch Sensitive) with call buttons that are quite similar to KSS 220 or Series 220 but vertical. Most of these Elevators I rode on of this type on this trip have ran SUPER WELL and VERY SMOOTH AND had INTERESTING Indicators!!! Not these!!! Not only they didn't have the cool indicators, but MAN These were FAST AND ROUGH, BUMPY, AND SHAKY!!!! Definitely a little scary!!! They didn't run all that great, but in a way that made these pretty fun to ride in!!!! These definitely are MUCH BETTER than a American KONE, but they do need some help!!! These also feel like Tower of Terror when going down!!!! Plus, the call stations on 27 were loose!!!! Despite what I said in the video, I hope these DON'T get modernized again, but Definitely these are very rough and bumpy in a way that makes these a little scary!!!! With that said, prepare for a thrill ride!!!!

For reference, if your wondering, the Service Elevators are semi-original with the original Otis Touch Sensitive call buttons and original cabs, indicators and motor and controller equipment, but didn't bother riding/filming them as the COPs were replaced with Monitor Junk......

Installed: 1972 (Otis Circle Touch Sensitive)

Modernized: Circa Mid to Late 1990s or Early 2000s (KONE with M Series Fixtures)
