Kicking off the two days of hearing in The Hague, South Africa accused Israel of stepping up 'genocide' in Gaza and alleged "Israel's genocide has continued apace and has just reached a new and horrific stage."

On Friday the state of Israel was defending the military necessity of its operations in the Gaza Strip. A protester who was protesting against the Israeli Onslaught in Gaza interrupted this statement by describing the Israeli position as full of lies and calling the Israeli defense as nothing but a lie.
