Modify Partitions on Linux Mint System with Single Partition

How to modify or resize partitions on Linux Mint Systems which have only a single partition. The Linux Mint systems which have only one partition cannot use ‘Disks’ application in Linux Mint to edit partitions simply. They need to boot from an external device and use GParted application to edit that single partition. This happens because the Linux Mint system files which are in execution are stored on that single partition itself. Thereby, rendering the partition to be busy. And a busy partition cannot be modified.
Those systems having only one primary partition containing Operating System Files and User data on this same partition can check methods in this video to manipulate Disk Partitions on such Linux Mint systems. Managing partitions in this video includes the following operations:

a. Boot from Linux Mint Flash Drive (Check a video link below in this description on how to create Linux Mint Bootable Flash Drive). Boot into Linux Mint on Flash Drive.

b. Resize or shrink a partition to free or unallocate disk space from the partition to reduce partition size (using ‘GParted’ application)

c. Reboot the system and remove Linux Mint Flash Drive. Boot into Linux Mint on the Hard Drive

d. Open ‘Disks’ application

e. Create new partition using some of the free or unallocated space

f. Create another partition using available free or unallocated space

g. Delete a partition and free or unallocate disk space

h. Resize or expand partition to add free disk space to increase partition size
