San Diego: Driver vs Parked Vehicles 11212024

The male driver in his 20s was speeding westbound on Ocean View Blvd when he lost control and crossed over the eastbound lanes. The driver hit two parked vehicles and an electrical box.

The two vehicles were sent into the middle of the street, and the electrical box was knocked off its mount, exposing the high-voltage lines. The car caught on fire. An SDPD Sgt pulled the male out of the burning car. He suffered a major injury to a lower leg, and a DUI evaluation will be conducted at the hospital.

The 3100 block of Ocean View Blvd is closed for the investigation. There was a passenger in the vehicle, but they were not injured. The driver was arrested for DUI.
