We hardly spend a day without using plastics. Also we all are aware of the affects of plastics on nature .The threat of disposal of plastics will not be solved until practical steps are taken at the ground level. The use of plastic wastes in building the roads can be a real life solution of this. In India 1.35 crore tonnes plastics are consumed every year and India's plastic consumption per year per capita is 12-46 kg. In a case study of Bangalore university, it is seen that 8.8% of processed plastic mixed with the bitumen improves the stability, strength, fatigue life and other desirable properties of bitumen mix. By mixing plastic, the melting point of bitumen increase upto 180 degree.
