Powering the second-generation car is a TZ155XZ230 electric motor with a maximum output of 30 kW. Again the top speed is capped at 100 km/h. It’s equipped with a 16.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack supplied by either Gotion or Saike Ruipu Power Battery System, providing a CLTC range of 205 km.

It should be noted that various sources refer to this version of the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV as either the third or fourth-generation car. In reality, this is the second generation, as all previous versions of the car were based on the same SGMW Global Small Electric Vehicle platform. Although there was some variation in dimensions, the design was only changed in the form of a very minor facelift rather than anything major, which was consistent with changes for a model year.

The car is the second generation version of the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV. It is an evolutionary change in the car’s design and rides on the new Tianyu S platform and will be available in both 3 and 5-door versions. The first-generation Mini EV has been a sales sensation since it was introduced in 2020, having sold more than 1.4 million units.

As incentives for opening preorders, Wuling has announced gifts valued at 10,000 yuan (1,400 USD) for orders placed. The most significant of these are a lifetime warranty on the drivetrain and a 3.5 kW charging pile.
