The Letter-Riter is a simpler version of the premium Quiet-Riter, lacking tabulation controls and with one fewer key on the keyboard (the numeral 1 and exclamation point). Mechanically, the two machines were so similar that Remington published one user manual to cover both of them. I love the lines of this typewriter -- reminds me of a mid-50s Buick.
