This day was a mix of peaceful wildlife viewing and reflecting on history, experiencing the natural beauty of the refuge while honoring the story and resilience of the Cherokee people. From watching cranes gather across the fields to walking through a place of remembrance, this visit was both humbling and unforgettable.
