How to Make Antler Rings

http://www.fouroakscrafts.com In this tutorial you will learn how to make deer antler rings for your finger. Antler crafts are fun and exciting projects to make or sell or give away. If you're a deer hunter, a shed hunter or into primitive skills, you'll find several uses for deer antler besides mounting to the wall.

For this tutorial you'll need deer antler, a hacksaw, a drill with a Forstner bit, and a sander. I did most of the shaping with a small belt sander and disk sander, then hand sanded. I then used my wood burner to make a design on the ring. Alternatively, you could do a lot of this with a Dremel rotary tool.

Make sure you wear a good respirator because antler dust is very fine. You don't want to be breathing in antler dust. Also wear safety glasses. Have fun and be safe!
