What are the Characteristics of Rectangular Seals?

1.Aging is slower
Different from rubber and some sealing materials, under pressure and existing stress, it will slowly age naturally and its elasticity is reduced. Therefore, the sealing ring has a certain service life and is closely related to the quality of the sealing material. Due to the small amount of pre-compression after installation, the aging speed of the rectangular sealing ring is relatively slow.

2. Good stability
Due to the shape characteristics of the rectangular sealing ring, it will not be twisted after installation; the amount of deformation after pre-compression is small; when the hydraulic pressure changes, the shape change is also small.

3. Strong anti-extrusion performance
When using O-rings, under frequent or long-term pressure shocks, over time, a small amount of sealing material will be sheared and extruded from the gap on the low pressure side. This phenomenon is called "extrusion damage”. Under this same working condition, if a rectangular sealing ring is used, there will be no extrusion damage.
