Old World Genoa, Italy: 130 Pre-1900 Images, Architecture + Photochrome, Ancient FORTified COASTline

Howdy ya’ll. Welcome back to the channel.
It’s been quite a while since we have had a video in the Old World Series; where we focus on the oldest photographs of the most important cities.

Today we will dive deep into the history of Genoa, Italy by looking at over 130 unique images, dated to before the year 1900. This will include a handful of Photochrome Images, or pre-1900 images that have been colorized, which will be at the end of the video. Genoa has a vast current narrative history, one that is ripe for us to look into.

We also have really epic architecture, which according to the narrative, is an amalgamation of centuries of unique builds. But is everything in the narrative as it seems?
