The VPL Robson Square provides spaces for fund-raising. The past staff had a cohesive team that was efficient to represent the community and it's people and social issues. Lisa has only been the Executive Director and changed all that. At present, there are a handful of vendors that are struggling to sell the products because of poor management. The ordered 3,000 calendars and was sold by Christmas. Vendors started losing interest because management was failing in representing the vendors and instead was concerned about policies and their pay check. They did not show any incentive in changing lives or community. I have written feedback to the staff and they have never answered me or call about the vendors concerns. Devan who is in the beginning of the video shares the history of people that has been exploited because of policy. Julia was awesome as Executive Director and had a coherent team that focused on changing people's lives through incentive programs. She also created a program that the more you sell you would get a financial bonus for your hard work. Lisa has never done that and relied of grants that sterilized the vendors because of them being on the street actively, they where hanging around the office looking for handouts. The office became a hangout because the management never provided any tools to influence the vendors to use their sales skills benefit themselves. Melanie Marks strides for changes. Her mother use to sell at Main and Hastings the prevailing wind changed her course. With the criminal element she was assaulted on the job. I have experienced verbal and physical abuse while selling megaphone products. The new staff that has been their for over a year has not ever randomly check on the employee at their workspace. The previous staff would show up unexpectedly just to ensure that you are doing your and working in a safe environment. Lisa has never done that. At the end of the video "Uncle Frank that seats in his wheeler car and watch over his people everyday. He always says "these corporate people come on his land and exploit his people for greed". When Megaphone went to VPL Robson Square it was a very professional fund-raiser. The new location at Round House has many challenges and less promoters.
