Kristen developed a complication called Placenta Accreta during her
second pregnancy that turned out to be the most invasive, vascular form of the condition. Placenta Accreta carries a high risk of hemorrhage requiring blood transfusion. In her story, Kristen describes an emergency surgery post-delivery where she was given 26 units of blood products to save her life and how the experience has inspired her to help Placenta Accreta mothers that follow her.
