National Santa Tim Connaghan took part in live satellite video news junket/conference riding Knott's new Silver Bullet over twenty times the morning of the rides official opening December 7, 2004. Starting at 5:00 am, Santa Tim was live every ten minutes with different television stations across America, working from the east coast at 5:00 am to the west coast at 9:00 a.m. He then participated in the official opening ceremonies at 11:00 a.m.
