This version of Justice League: Battle For Metropolis, created by Sally Dark Rides, as well as the one at Six Flags Over Texas opened in 2015 as first generation versions of this ride. With this being one of the prototype versions of the ride the subsequent versions of the ride feature some differences mostly in the timing of scenes and how the scenes flow. Also the gameplay aspect of the ride feels very different compared to one of the newest versions at Six Flags Great Adventure.

Many of the effects in the ride are either broken or have been removed entirely. All of the fog machines in the ride have been removed. The only fog in the ride is from the Joker animatronics canon. The interactive fog screen components have been completely removed. None of the show doors in the ride worked and all of them were in the open position. The rides soundtrack was missing and some scenes were eerily quiet. The audio that was present was EXTREMELY loud. Loud to the point of potentially causing hearing loss if exposed to the audio for prolonged periods. The player photos on the last screen at the end of the ride did not work. The same picture of random riders was shown on both days I was at the park. There were also no monitors at the exit of the ride to show off guests' scores from the ride. A huge positive was that the lasers on the guns properly turn on for the "S.T.A.R. Labs Battle" scene in order to see which laughing gas canister you're shooting at. This is a major part of the ride that no longer works in many of the installations. Good on you Six Flags St. Louis maintenance staff for properly maintaining that!

With all of that being said this is NOT THE FAULT OF THE MAINTENANCE STAFF. From what I was told the maintenance staff does not have the proper budget from Six Flags corporate to maintain this ride. They are doing the best they can with the small budget they are allotted and I commend them for that. Even with all the broken things in the ride people were still queuing up and very much enjoying the ride. This ride had one of the longest lines in the park.
