Blink and you’ll miss it: hidden treasures, serious bargains, and the kind of antiques that stop collectors in their tracks.

It’s our last chance to find standout pieces our collectors want to see when we head to Mt. Dora, Florida to sell this coming weekend. We search a quality antique mall in Pensacola for bargain prices on better antiques and vintage, determined to uncover the kinds of items that elevate a booth and excite seasoned buyers.

We leave no stone unturned in this sprawling mall, where valuable Murano and Lucite lighting, fabulous Fenton glass, and everything from swagger sticks to 1920s flapper mesh purses tempt us at every turn. Tucked into winding corridors and room after room of booths are Goebel Co-Boys, MCM McCoy pottery, Venetian glass tazzas, graceful porcelain figurines, and 1910s figural humidors competing for attention. Every corner holds another possibility.

Vintage dealers apply old pieces to fresh decorating trends here. A wall decorated with antique majolica plates, inspired by Martha Stewart’s advice, reminds us how classic collections find new life. Vibrant uranium glass glows on a sideboard. A massive wardrobe with beautiful marquetry stands proudly with a SOLD sign, proof that quality still commands attention.

But the cases and tight spaces deliver the biggest surprises. A striking Murano glass cherub compote becomes ours at a great price. A cocktail shaker with bold 1950s graphics joins our growing stack. An elegant pair of gilded Italian porcelain figurines is too inexpensive to leave behind. This mall proves that reseller bargains still exist on higher-end items, even in a retail-focused antique setting.

So many beautiful and unusual pieces appear here, far beyond the everyday. Mont Joye art glass, a sizable kangaroo figure, a fire screen with serpent legs, and an original 1910s Coca-Cola clock reflect Pensacola’s deep ties to naval aviation and a history of travel and collecting. Czech glass, Russian lacquer boxes, Royal Vienna vases, and crucifixes from around the world give us reason to pause and consider what might resonate most with our audience.

There is so much to see that we close the place down! We plan to return and explore the other shops along this west-side strip, but for now we head to the counter with arms full of discoveries, excited to bring these fresh finds to Mt.
