Dhanush Sues Nayanthara & Vignesh Sivan’s “Unprofessional Conduct” For Budget Escalation | N18V

The Madras High Court has scheduled a hearing for January 8, regarding actor Dhanush's lawsuit against actress Nayanthara, her husband and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, and Netflix's Indian entity, Los Gatos Production Services India LLP. The suit alleges unauthorized use of footage from the 2015 film "Naanum Rowdy Dhaan" in the Netflix documentary "Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale." Dhanush's production company, Wunderbar Films, which produced "Naanum Rowdy Dhaan," claims that clips from the film were used in the documentary without proper authorization, constituting a copyright infringement. Prior to filing the lawsuit, Dhanush had issued a legal notice demanding ₹10 crore in damages for the alleged unauthorized use.
