Delhi’s Scenic Yamuna River Cruise is Coming Soon! 🇮🇳

Delhi Tourism is all set to introduce a beautiful river cruise on the Yamuna, connecting Sonia Vihar to Jagatpur, transforming the riverfront into a vibrant new leisure and tourist destination. The multi-deck cruise boat, which can accommodate around 90 passengers, is currently under assembly, with preparations in full swing.

The cruise will travel along a 5 km stretch chosen for its improved water quality and scenic surroundings. Passengers can enjoy open-air seating decks, guided views, onboard dining, and cultural performances, making for a relaxing and memorable experience right in the heart of the city.

This project is part of Delhi’s broader plan to revive the Yamuna waterfront, promote eco-friendly tourism, and create more recreational spaces for locals and visitors alike. The cruise will operate on solar/electric hybrid boats, ensuring a cleaner, greener ride with minimal environmental impact.

To support the service, new jetties, waiting areas, ticket counters, and passenger amenities are being developed along the riverbanks.

⏳ Expected Launch: The cruise is set to begin by late November or early December 2025, following final assembly and safety checks.

This initiative is designed to bring people closer to the river, celebrate Delhi’s rich heritage, and provide a new hub for weekend outings, evening tours, and cultural experiences, giving Delhi a fresh perspective on its iconic Yamuna.
