On the latest edition of Ask The Eagle we take a look at the basics of safety when frying a turkey.

The major points to keep in mind here are

-Thaw Your Turkey, a frozen turkey will cause an overflow of oil and if that oil hits a flame...that's a BIG fire.

Follow Directions, Each manufacturer has different directions, be sure to follow them to the letter.

Have Proper Oil Levels, make sure the oil won't overflow when you put in your turkey or you may have quite the mess on your hands.

and the biggest one of all is

-DO IT OUTSIDE, things could catch fire if you don't do it right and the last place you want to be is in your kitchen, garage, gazebo..you get the point.
