Samsung S21 Ultra Sandwich Board Reball Tutorial. It was Water Damaged & Customer Needed Their Data

This phone came in for No Power & we were tasked to recover the customer’s data. The phone had experienced some water damage & it stopped turning on. Initial diagnosis found it had a main short inside the sandwich.

I split the sandwich & found there was severe corrosion on the sandwich interposer pads. So I grinded away all the nasty burnt PCB sections & cleared the short, but now was the new challenge, reballing the 2 layer board so we can get the customer’s data.
